Cabbage roses
Thought you might like this tip, to make cabbage roses.
This is a small sample, but you will get the idea. When you fold your fabric in half,,,,off-set it as much as you can. Mine was 1/2 inch, on wider pieces maybe 1 inch or more. It will difficult to sew the gathering stitching, so I pin mine together first. By hand might be easier for small ones. The last one is already gathered.

1. Wrapped around into a rose.
2. One I made. Then made a small one with tatting on the edges and sewed in the center. 3. group of them, can you tell which ones were done this way, and the ones just pleated up?? Didn't know if anyone had ever done it this way. Hope this makes sense.

Thanks everyone,
I want to see pics too. And any tips you've added. I need to start on a new dress. Maybe. several dozen roses would be nice, some of them 6 inches across or more. Trailing down the bustle and train. My mind is turning again Alli.
