I am going to make a wrap based on an original I bought for $5 , in unsaveable condition , and post the process here ...

Here is a link to larger photos-
http://www.flickr.com/photos/8961860@N07/sets/72157603802628252/

First , here are the patterns I had on hand -
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2078/2222933521_333a3239c4_m.jpghttp://farm3.static.flickr.com/2248/2222933509_b678463267_m.jpghttp://farm3.static.flickr.com/2325/2222933515_6d5933df98_m.jpg

The second Ageless pattern is almost identical to the wrap , I was excited to see ...

The TV pattern looks way too unstructured , like a 70's poncho with pleats to me ...

The other Ageless pattern is wonderful & I have plans for it soon ...

I wear mine sometimes to shoots (no, mine is nowhere near as nice as yours, dear heart!) -- mine is just a half-circle cloak, very (read extremely) simple (like me)
(blush)
Anyhow. I dearly love wearing it because:
1) It's warm.
2) Ease of movement.
3) It fits no matter how big I get.
4) It always looks good. (Unlike me!)

I was picking apart the other sleeve to remove the trim & found another calico used to flatline it ...

Really neato, with the different linings...they may have been extravegant on the outside, but they wasted nothing!
The new one is beautiful!

I bought a bolt of great vintage trim...
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2212/2226967057_3af907e914_m.jpg
and went CRAZY with it !
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2031/2226967073_c9a949dbd7_m.jpg
the original was a home made garment , and was a little plainer than most
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2037/2226967065_e1a12bca64_m.jpg
the only ornament being the velvet bands & this tassel with cord
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2327/2226967081_24582736d4_m.jpg
now on to some work that pays instead of costs me !:go:sewing

I'm sure you look lovely and are the envy of the range . Here is my other half trying to keep up with the more fashionable set ...

A silk parasol is a must for keeping one's face fair ...
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2353/2228873918_379903279a_m.jpg
and matching your hat & bag to your gun leather is always smart ...
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2162/2228873922_4d3f9b988a_m.jpg
but be watchful of the tempting frou-frou coffee with whipped cream - this can lead an uncomfortably tight gunbelt if taken in excess
