I finally got around to unpacking some old clothes my mother had carefully saved for years and years. There are four bed jackets that I think her sister must have worn (she died in her 20 's in 1929) so they would date back to teens or '20's. Two may be silk, not sure, one is a very fine cotton and one is a heavy knitted woolen. There is also a paper thin nightgown with gorgeous lace trim, looks like cotton also. Does anyone have expertise in this period? I would like to put these on ebay as I don't really have a good place to store them and I think someone should enjoy them. Except for the gown, which has some damage, they are in pretty good condition and I have photos. Here is one of the jackets..

Would that I was a better photographer...this is a detail of the lace. Second set is the second short bed jacket and only detail

This one's really different. I think it's cotton with little embroidered flowers.

Last one. Tissue thin nightgown, it is damaged, but oh so dainty. I am completely un-knowledgeable about these types of items so frank comments are welcome.

:drool These are wonderful ! They look to me as if they date from the era when women in fashion had no shape - the 1920's, which ties in with the provenance (the fact that your aunt died in her 20's in 1929 & these were obviously worn by an adult) :drool

Wow!!!!!!!! Those are really nice! Daggone, you could almost use that nightgown for a chemise---how delicate is it? I'd list them on e-bay for sure! Check your PM's.
