This is a blast to shoot! We "decorated" the trees last night with glass balls, garland, candy canes, candy cane sticks, starlight mints, and mint hearts. You shoot the heck out of one tree for $10 with either a .22 handgun or rifle. Cayley wanted his own "special tree", and since he was one of the folks decorating we decided to let him have his way. He has a lot of balls------on his tree.

Daddy had to help Casey a little bit. She still hasn't quite got the concept of "sights", but she isn't afraid to pull that trigger!

These are what is left of the trees afterwards. But they weren't the ones that WE shoot! We would NEVER leave that many ornaments hanging! LOL!!!The range has a wonderful minty freshness for about a month after the shoot because of all the destroyed peppermints!

This is Jeanie. She is the wife of one of my husband's good friends. One of the other lady shooters there was so impressed with the girls' shooting that she wanted to give them an "award". She didn't know the girls very well and asked Jeanie to give them the candy canes filled with Hershey's kisses. Needless to say, after they thanked Jeanie, that went over and gave Ethel-ann a big hug and kiss.

Here they are with some leftover trees that Kelsey was shooting at. She missed the blue glass balls, but she got the starlight mints and the candy canes. When you hit them with a .22, it is a spectacular explosion!

Thanks! The hardest part is finding glass balls that are cheap. There are lots of plastic ones, but they don't bust. That's the best part! We did find out that the plastic birds with the feathers are great to shoot at---almost like the real thing! Cayley had one on his tree and when he shot it in the chest the force blew the tail feathers right off!

Where were people like you when I was a kid. Wait a minute, I still am.
That look like almost as much fun to put on as it would be to shoot.
Good job with the little one, be proud.

LL left out the best part. After we were done shooting up the Christmas trees, we shot rows of outdoor Christmas lights. We had a stand that protected the cords and we plugged them in, dimmed the range lights and shot the lit Christmas lights! It's official, I got rid of all of my Christmas shopping stress!
