a "what" kind of pocket? Welt Pocket

This is why I stay away from mens clothing...they have all these finiky tailored things like welt pockets...
So since I am making one...and there have been no posts here for 30 days?!?!? (we can't have that!) I thought I would bring you all along for the ride!
I will be starting with the Buckaroo Bobbins pattern I am making the Dodge City version this baby has three of them "welt" pockets...I am trying this first in a red twill I have so that if I need to trash I am not going to gasp and cry over ruined satin!

The Instructions for the "Welt" are ahem...sketchy so...off to the internet to research. Sandra Betsina always have a good view point on these things...

OK so here we go ....first you cut out the entire pattern and lining.

Hi all, I actually do know how to do these...and I shall put in LOTS of lovely pictures in the morning...I got pulled into a "what color am I?" IM fest!
So now I am too tired to fight with the digital camera!

Ohhh GG! Now I really can't wait. I sooo love corsets. I even wear mine when my back is acting up. Works better than any lifting brace etc I've tried and is much more flattering to boot, except for the fact that today's clothes are not made to fit over them. lol

Can't wait to see how to do the pockets!
Made my hubby a vest that had two of them and couldn't figure them out. So just made mock pockets, they look real but nothing inside, just faked it. :10
