With the holiday season approaching here are two delicious recipes for shortbread,if you like these i can post others.
10 ounces of margarine.
4 ounces of caster sugar
3 ounces if ground rice
12 ounces of plain flour
Cream the margarine and sugar together and then add the ground rice,cream well together.
Sift the flour into this and mix well.
roll out mixture unto a board or worktop sprinkled with a dusting of ground rice.
cut out using your holiday season cutters and put on tin in oven 140 degrees approx. These usually take 35 minutes, when you take these out of oven sprinkle with a dusting of caster sugar.
try to leave them to cool.
Grans shortbread.
8 ounces of butter.
4 ounces of caster sugar.
8 ounces of plain flour.
4 ounces of corn flour.
use the same method of making up the mixture, but roll out in a dusting of cornflour.
Wheaten shortbread.
10 ounces of margarine
4 ounces of caster sugar.
4 ounces of desiccated coconut.
cream these well together.
2 0unces of soda bread mix.
2 0unces of plain flour.
10 ounces of speedicook oats or porridge oats.
Add these dry ingredients into the creamed mix and roll out using dusting of flour .Use your holiday cutters and cook in oven temp 140 degrees.
