Lady Fleur, and Yankee Belle,

I have washed my wig, and rinsed it very well, but it still feels stiff like.

Should I wash it again and use some kind of cream rinse??

Did you use wig shampoo or regular shampoo? I find that my wigs do better when I use wig shampoo and conditioner.

I find mine do best when I send them to Greeneyed Nana.....I know, that doesn't help but I couldn't help myself:go

1st yes did you use wig shampoo (woolight is a alternative...) rinse well and block the wig.. if you use conditioner it can overcoat the wig fiber..
washing can always change the wig.. it may never feel like the first time you purchased it.. BUT it might have hairspray residue the dried (that was not removed).. SO SOAK it in its bath so the gunk can melt off.. then re shampoo (swish not scrub) rinse well. then block.. if not send it my way and i will wash it free if i can help rehab it! Only brush small sections and roll up out of your way! a light spray of no more tears detangler can be enough conditioning...
I hope this helps.. feel free to e-mail me if you need more help?

Yes, I used wig shampoo. I bought the kit ( shampoo, hairspray, brush, comb) at the same time that I bought the wig from Miss Tabitha.

There wasn't any conditioner in the kit.

So I will rewash it and use some conditioner or some detangler.

How should it be blocked? They say to lay on a towel to remove execss water. But do not put on wig stand.

Will wash again tomorrow and see how it does.

P.S. I couldn't remember GG's mother's name. I thought it was Yankee Belle. I'm sorry YB and Greeneyed Nana.

towel roll it up then hang on a 2 liter bottle or pitcher so air can get around it!
If you have any milky water dripping from it it might not be rinsed well enough..

Thanks for this thread. My blonde wig turned out the same way when I washed it.

Fluer, I have a ringlet cascade that is going all frizzy, will the J & J De-tangler tame the frizzies on it?

try a small section... comb lightly and wrap the curl around your finger!
