I might have a cross stitch pattern. I'll look when I get home tonight. Besides collecting fabric and making victorian dresses, I am a cross stitchaholic.....

Is there a ten step program for that?

I used to be one! but the holes in the fabric got hard to see so I stopped:re

One day when I have time I will do it again, with spectacles.

Now your story sounds so familiar. I bought a used (new to me) Viking emboridery machine and my shop is also closing tomorrow. Pits, huh? But there is supposed to be another place opening soon to replace the Viking dealership......check with Viking if they will be doing the same thing. It has been so helpful getting help learning how to use it over the past few months. If you need some help, (maybe) I could help. Let me know.

Sorry I don't have any cow spot cross stitch anything.:18 Good luck finding some.

We have another shop about an hour away but still.....

One good thing is the shop that's closing has everything about 50% off:)

I have to buy bobbins I only have 3 now.

If I have any questions I will email ya, thanks.

Went through all of my cross stitch books and leaflets last night and couldn't find a cow spot pattern. Did find a small spotted cow but the body didn't look big enough to work a hat band out of it. Sorry. Hope you find what you're looking for:)

I am devising a cow outfit, I have a lot of the fabric just need the time now. I am supplying Dutch Henry with garters so I am spending most of my sewing time making them. I have a bunch made just need to finish them, I am sending him 30 this w/e and hopefully that many more next weekend, then maybe I can sew for mahself.

Cow Print pattern???

If you mean those black spots on white like a holstein, that is EASY!

There are several ways to do this. Get a blank grid and simply make shapes somewhat round but a bit wiggly. Then color it in. Make others around it with some white between. Since no two holsteins are the same markings, who would know? I mean, you think someone is going to walk up to you and say, "Hey, those spots are not cow spots."

Another way, is to get a bit of water color paint, drop it on a paper, fold it and make an ink blot shape. When it dries, trace it to a grid.

OR! Get a young kid to make various shapes on paper and use those. Kids are uninhibited and don't play by the rules. Therefore, they are great ones to make shapes that aren't recognizeable. Us adults have been put into the box for too long!
