We are continuing to expand our library, and are happy to announce that 1870-1871-1872-1873-1874-1875 have all been updated! :tban All of these years except for 1873 now have a complete year of Godey's and Peterson's both in black and white images, and fashion plates with descriptions! 1873 has the addition of Jan-June Godey's editions with fashion plates and descriptions. Some of these puppies are just drop dead gorgeous! Just ask GG whose sewing "to do" list for herself has expanded by at least 5 dresses!:rofl

Our plan is to get the the CD's that we currently have for sale updated, while at the same time adding to the years that we are still editing. Which brings me to the next topic for discussion and some really fabulous news! The Queen of Acquistions has struck again! This time percuring almost the entire year of 1872 LaMode Illustree color fashion plates to go with the entire bound year that we currently have! This is simply extroidenary! I believe out of the 52 plates that were made that year, we have 48 of them. :faint So keep an eye out for this edition because it will be rather stellar!

1890 is still being edited, and it will be breathtaking when completed with over 2,000 images including 23 color fashion plates with descriptions (and this will hopefully be changing to 29 before this CD is actually published)! I know it's taking a while girls, but it's going to be worth the wait.

There will be 2 new CDV's/Cabinet Card CD's available soon, too! There are some really wonderful examples of hair, fashions, actresses/actors just to name a few of the things you'll see. CDV #3 has a lot of 90's fashions. Sweet Violet got a preview, and there was much sucking in of breath when she looked at the photos! :rofl

That's it for now! Thank you each and every person for supporting our efforts to archieve these antique, rare, and fragile periodicals and inspiring Victorian costuming for everyone!

and I am told they will be on my web site....ummmmmm forever so there you go.

I wanted to give Beth the option to list the Library with a more comerical site as mine will be changing to more of a diary in the future...Well My mom isent ready to give up the wigs and LL wont be slowed down either so I am happy to keep the site up for them as both the Library and moms wigs are a joy to me ( and there is NO sewing involved! NONE! WAHOO!)

I dont know how you all feel about various names in fashion, I am a delineator/petersons girl myself. I gotta tell you though, these 40+ new color plates from LaMode...boy the French did not play around when it can to high fahion....Whew! Breathtaking...seriously.
