Manatee Shot With Us Today!

Hi Folks,

I finally got to meet the infamous Manatee. He shot with us today at the Murieta Posse match. He's a mellow, mild-mannered gentleman. Somehow, from his persona on the SASS Wire, I thought he'd be a little ornery. That was not the case.

He even brought us a new shooter that lives in the area. How cool is that.

Mo, You shoot with Paniolo Lady? I met her at some shoots in Arizona and shot on the same posse with her once...she seems really nice.

Today's photos aren't posted yet. I'm in the California Rangers ("Yep, it must be" is the caption), Gold Country Three Gun ("Does this hat make my head look smaller?" is the caption - I'm wearing BJT's hat) and Murieta Posse (I'm listed by name twice) photos.

Last year I shot four times a month. This year, I've cut back to two or three of those. BooHoo.

Yes, I shoot with Paniolo Lady. She's a real sweetie. I adore her. Her husband Diamond Dick credits me with talking her into starting shooting. Little did I know she would :kbutt me every match and Dick's at most matches.

Hi again :Nellie,

My hand hurts less since I got a battery mouse that I can use in my left hand.

I shoot wimp loads, so the shooting isn't too bad. I don't keep score anymore. My writing is terrible.

I had a bone or tendon or something bump out at my wrist the last time I cleaned house. :eek:

Hi Jessie,

Last week my brain wasn't at the match and I couldn't hit anything. This week was better. Anyway, I hope you had a fun posse. Middletown Marshall is so nice!

I'm just not shooting as well as I did last year. Getting to the top half (barely) more than the bottom half may not happen this year. I think it might have something to do with <whisper mode on> practice <whisper mode off>. I did some of that last year. This year, if I wanted to be able to shoot, I couldn't practice because my hand would swell and hurt. My surgery is December 15. I planned it for after the convention and during our worst weather. Rangers next month will be my last match for a while. :(

Don't think I'm a fanatic about cleaning. I'm embarrased to say how long it had been and I have three cats! Or, should I say "shedsters?" :18

Alli - I am still trying alot of new things so some matches are better than others.:flame :flame Middletown certainly is a nice guy and she wife is a real sweetheart. Sorry I didn't get to talk to Manatee more but I did get to wish him Happy Birthday. I hope he had fun. Hopefully the rain won't start until surgery time. Maybe Santa will bring you new pistols.

Allie Mo, Your picture was a hit at the bus garage. Took my copy of the calendar in and showed it off. They couldn't get over all the outfits and the ladies that shoot from all over the country. Kept getting asked" you know all these people?". Got to say yes about most of you. At least through cyberspace that is.
Think that hand of yours is transfering through the keyboard, mine has been kicking up something fierce the last week. It doesn't like the cold and damp this year.........Buck:noe :cgun :grin
