Increase Your Knowledge of fabrics

[Lady Dallas]

I was doing research for my 1879 dress and trying to find out was "Abatross" was besides a large bird. I came across this dictionary of fabrics. By the way, Albatross is a light loosely woven fabric usually of wool. Sounds like a very fine fleece.
