Ohhhh hmmm... think maybe the fabric of the skirt is cut away at the front seam....they allowed the border to stay for the length to turn the corner and go up the front...then used the purple for the bodice and cut in mattched trim??

Or do you think some completely insane OCCD moment took that woman to applique all that pasliey onto the purple?? Oh would I love to see a close up of that fabric where orange meets purple. How intresting...even apart from the WOW color, love it!~
