if you have enough fabric left from the dress you can cover the shoes altogether and add that beautiful gold bow too!!

LL get your hide over here and post that shoe covering mini class...she made some real pretty ones...Fannie too! I forgot the wonderful peacock shoes!

ok, so today I get to do my shoes!!!

did I forget to mention I don't have a hat???

OH Oh OH !!!

For a quick simple hat! Go to michaels get the tiny (about 12 in accross) straw hat in the doll making section. Fill up a large pot of water and boil it place in a tall glass ( I also put water in the glass..) get a good steam going, set you hat on the glass ( picture comming! picture comming!) then when the hat is steamed through and soft shape it the way you laik ( over do it a bit and give it a chance to relax into the style nicely!) let it sit and dry... this take a lot less time the sinking the hat into the boiling water which I have notices can take a day or more.
The decorate, cover with fabric, place self ribbion roses feathers ...ect ect ect. If you are like me you also get while at Michales the cool elastic with loops all along it...(where did I put that stuff) and stich or glue it in and place the teeth of a clear comb though it to help anchor the front of the hat in place, you will still probably want to use two hat pins...but this is good to really seat the hat, especially if shooting (which before I did this I could blow my hat off when shooting my 12gauge...really its rather funny ask Ima and Lizzie...I told you there would be laughing at the Belles Bust out...:re )

Ok there is my 2 minute hat shaping class... I can get the photos and do a more formal one in the class area.:sailor

SAFETY FIRST!
DO not touch or otherwise move the glass in the pot until it complely cools!!!! If you tkae it out the air temp or placing it on a cool surface ( sink, counter) can cause the glass to crack and if you are very unluck to shatter sending nasty little glass shards everywhere!!!!! YOU HAVE BEEN D WARNED! So dont make me hire Mark if you break a glass and bleed all over and try to sue me...Bahaahaha

GG ( really be careful ok? Id hate to have anyone hurt theirsleves)

Angel Outlaw, good news...if you are wearing a ballgown then you don't need a hat. Hats are worn with day dresses, hair accessories are worn with ballgowns. If it isn't ballgown, then sorry....

thanks FAnnie, I came to the realization this w/e I just DON"T have time to worry with one anyway:18 I bought a small one like GG said and thought about covering it with fabric.... that is as far as I got.

And shoes, I also realized that they are the same color as the skirt so why cover them??? if I can find a good sharp needle I may add some beads to the opening edges but that is it, I can do that while riding 8 hours to SC:re

Now I just have to do all those buttonholes for my split skrit and I will be almost done/

If'n you have the cash at some saddlery stores and on internet you can get the dress shoes for the side saddle english dressage riders.

They have that classic old style boot with medium sized heel look that says Victorian Class:)
