I remember someone (I think it was GG- but I am not sure) mentioning that thier husband had put something one their gunbelt to keep it from transfering dye & staining clothes. Anyone know what that something is & where it is obtainanable?? Thank you!

Neat-Lac Leather Finish : http://www.tandyleather.com/products.asp?dept=176
I had a holster that kept fading on my clothes and we sprayed the underside of it with Neat-Lac, let it dry, sprayed it again, let it dry, sprayed it again...no more fading.

Nope I was the one who had my black belt fade onto my PINK corset after Lizzie MADE me wear it on the outside for our corset shoot at the end of summer (insert your fave sassafrassin' word here!) But I did finally manage to get it sparkling clean again ( thank you oxyiclean!)
Thank you fannie I think I will be gettin a bottle of that too I have a white dress planned for this year and it will work better for me if I can shoot in it!

We were shooting in Norco, CA. this past summer and it got up to over 110 degrees that day. I was wearing one of my thrift store finds: a practically new snow-white cotton Mexican peasant wear-it-off-the-shoulder-if-you're-brave blouse with two rows of ruffles, attesting to the status of the wearer as a "lady of means" (at least that's how I see it)((and who wants to pretend to be poor, I can do that everyday for real!)). When I changed my into my street clothes I saw my holster image in red on my white blouse!
I've tried soaking in bleach, scrubbing on a washboard. - but ok, I'll try Oxi-Clean! If it worked for you, it may work for me, thanks Miss Greeneyed Gypsy

Good luck, Dixie! Man, I hatehatehate it when stuff like that happens. But if the marks won't come out, you could dye the blouse to hide 'em.
