The Rooster Cogburn souvenier eyepatches were a big hit, as was the entire John Wayne themed shoot! Here I am, eyepatch in place, and reins (twizzler) in hand! We got to wear the eye patches on two stages since he was Rooster Cogburn in two movies! Just to make it more attractive for shooters to "play the game" we offered a 5 second bonus if you wore the eye patch correctly while shooting those two stages. Then just to sweeten the pot a little more, we gave the shooters an extra 10 second bonus if they shot clean while wearing it.

Yes! When they registered I handed every shooter an eye patch and warned them to know which eye was their dominant eye because they would be wearing it TWICE during the day. We had a couple fellas start to whine but when they were greeted with my "little kid at Christmas" excitement and remarks like "didn't ya grow up pretendin' ya was the Duke" they realized that they might as well talk to the eye patch! No one was forced to wear it either. We certainly didn't want any "safety issues". EVERYONE participated with only two shooters only wearing it for one scenario. At least they tried it!

We might have to do it again! I bought a gross of eye patches and we had 50 shooters. Just can't let a good prop like that go to waste now can we! :re
