I finally finished the shirt for my brother. Just don't tell him I had it on my dummy to take the pic.
It was LM pattern #107.
I have used the same pattern to make hubbie a white tucked bib front dress shirt with de-tachable collar and cuffs. It goes together really easy. At least for me.

I have about 6 yds. and 10 inches left. How much do you need??? Do you really want it???
Was going to make a shirt for hubbie too. Or maybe a prairie dress for me.
I got it at JoAnns.

Here's my latest project. I call them my scrap or bonus outfits. They're what I make out of the leftover fabric from a real project. In this case, it was the cancan outfit. These are its bloomers with a bonus top and shoe thingies.
I have several bonus tops that I like better than the originals.
I bought the shoe clips (grosgrain flower-like thingies) at an antique store for $4.50, then sewed my trim on them. I could also put them on a hat.
I do not like the gloves. My arms look too long and bare. What should I wear with this outfit? I have short black velvet and those long lace thingys with a loop that slips over a finger.
I also need one of those big-hair wigs like Fannies.
It's too late to change for another photo. Hubby grumbled enough taking one. So, Wallaby, this is for you.
Regards,
Allie Mo

Ooh la la, ma cherie! I'll say you can-can! I love the trims on the boots, and the way the ruffles on the drawers look. I'm thinking long black lace/crocheted gloves? The fingerless kind?
Excellent work!

WOW! Allie Mo, you look fantastic! And all from scraps! I agree, the long gloves will complete it. You have beautiful long hair already....but if it is easier to keep it looking nice...go for a wig. Looking forward to meeting you at the Convention! Duzy :)

Hi Duzy and Em,
Thanks for the compliments.
Duzy, the hair is a clip-on pony tail. It matches pretty well.
Em, I have the long lace fingerless gloves. It does need longer gloves.

Mo that looks great.... If you have any more of the trim left you could always drape it across the arm hole so that it sits on your arm to take some of the bareness aware... and yes long gloves...
Great job abd very clever....

Looks great to me. But, I also think the long gloves would look better. Maybe in red (or whatever color the triming color is) with a red boa too !!!

Allie Mo,
Nice dress.
Scraps, My Mom (rest her soul) made everybody in the family a flannel shirt for Christmas one year. Made my Dads out of the leftovers. Six or seven differnet colors of flannel, no two adjoining pieces the same. Now that was a shirt of a different color(s).
