With an old bedskirt, and 4 eyelet ruffled valances, you can do a modified TV 101 revised bustled petticoat. Yes it is 2 tone white and ecru. It's mine and it's not that pretty, or absolutely perfect. ( that's part of it's charm) so I'm not entering any contests.:re I'm waiting for the bones, so the photo is over the pillow bustle. When the bones are in I'll adjust the overlay hang.

The last photo shows where I would put darts instead of tucking the front. The front isn't as smooth as I would like it to be but for a first timer, I've learned. So you too can recycle and reuse. :)

I think it is cute, and very inventive. What was it my mom always used to say? Neccessity is the motherhood of invention?
Too cute!:)

Hey Ima,
I've been saving a eyelet ruffled sheet since 2001 with the idea of using it for "frillies." (It was my Mom's.)
Glad to see someone with a similar idea. Great minds...and all that. Maybe this will give me the :kbutt I need to use it. I've got that TV pattern for the slip with the detatchable train that is waiting to be opened.
Good job and :ty for the :kbutt !

Ima.. I think it looks good...now be aware that when you place the bones and tie them...that the top front is going to fit SNUG...so I hoe you wont have to but you may need to let out a dart...it is difficult to imagine but much of the bulk of the petti is taken up by the poof in the back.
Otherwise I think you done good girfriend!! I got the bones cut and tipped for you ...well three anyway...the other one can't possible be 4 inches??!?!:re :sailor
