a modified TV 297 skirt. Found some lovely red moleskin with stitching on it. A friend wants me to make a skirt for her. She has a beautiful white lacy blouse for it.........but I have just enough material for possibly a vest. Any ideas of what to do for a vest.......or with the left over material if not a vest?
:fb
Thanks ladies!

Hmm--something like the TV Eaton jacket without collar or sleeves? The open front and bolero style would show off the blouse. Fannie, you've made the Eaton jacket, I know--how hard would it be to recut that neckline to leave off the collar and lapels?

This is the laughing moon split riding skirt costume vest pattern i used here, the skirt is from a differnt pattern altogether. The vest is very simple to make, without all the soutache.

The laughing moom pattern would be perfect. :jp This material has soutache already on it (same color as the background) and I think it would be very nice. I was also thinking of using the extra material to make a hat, but I do like the vest. The picture really helps. And it being an 'easy' pattern is good for me since I am not an expert.
Thank you ladies.
