I was so excited when I found this company, I just had to pass this site along! http://www.hotpatterns.com/
I rarely find regular wear patterns from the big 3 that I like(they never seem to be up with the times). Then most smaller companies have this frumpy, baggy thing going on or are from like 2 decades ago!
This is a small husband & wife team (That is what I have heard anyway) & they have more trendy, but not totally weird patterns. They are also printed on a heavy paper like the TV ones! Anyway hope you all like them & I'll let you know how they are after I order some!

Have you ordered yet? I'm thinking about it!

I did! I have heard from the own that they have been over overwhelmed with orders & have to reprint 3 times just to try to keep up. So they are a little behind on shipping the orders. Their first printing sold out in 6 days & that was 3 weeks before thier first ship date! She said that they had no idea that their patterns woudl be so well received & are working around the clock to get orders out as soon as they can. I only know of one person that has gotten a couple of her patterns & that was because she was smart enough to ask Trudy to bring them to the Novi Sewing Expo. She wrote up a review of them. Here is the link: http://sewing.patternreview.com/cgi-bin/readreview.pl?readreview=1&reviewnum=11048
Trudy has been so very sweet & answering a ton of questions over on the board at www.patternreview.com
I will let you know how they look when I get mine. From the review I have high hopes for them & I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Ohmigawd, Lily, what did I ever do to you? Those are exactly what I want when I look through the big 3 pattern books. Yikes!

I’m sorry Em! But I didn’t want to suffer all alone!!! LOL! :w2
Aren’t they wonderful!? :bow
Aside from Burda these are the best patterns I have found (well from the looks of them anyway, as I haven’t received mine yet). The owner/designer Trudy is a total doll! If you read the thread here http://sewing.patternreview.com/cgi-bin/sewingclasses/board.pl?t=9355 She is so wonderful to answer all kinds of design & fitting questions. I don’t know about you but I have the worst time with determining from the stylized drawings on most patterns what the finished product is gonna really be like & she is more than happy to answer everyone’s questions in wonderful detail! When was the last time that a designer from one of the Big3 gave you wardrobe advice!!?? :re

And I love her style groupings--that's a great way to find what you're after when you know the effect you want and haven't decided how to you want to make it happen. (Now, if she starts up a "Mrs. Peel, We're Needed" style group, I'm beyond doomed...)

Im going to buy this pattern from the site that Lily put up. I think you could make this coat into something really neat and cowboy..

Especially because we'd then have to buy the matching boots for each outfit.

Okay, Garnet, I needed that weblink either like I need a catastrophic earthquake...or like I need a Lotus Elan just like Mrs. Peel's.
(Of course we need the matching boots! Soooooooo much!)
