I'm e-mailing all of my gal-pals in the Diamonds to talk about plans for next year, especially the Saloon Night at PIP `06. After I sent the e-mail it dawned on me that I would need to make outfits for one, if not both of my daughters. Would a "tastefull" can-can dress be ok? I think it would be cute, but I would like some other opinions.
And I don't know how comfortable a few of the ladies would be in a corset and a saloon dress. Can we mix-up the outfits? I was thinking can-can, saloon girls, and "working girls" in petticoats/camisoles and a real pretty robe (like the one that Lizzie posted sometime last year). Does this sound like it would be ok? :fb

Hi LL...
I wore pantaloons, long chemise and corset with a long robe for our Saloon night last week. A few feathers in the hair, it felt appropriate. I liked Lizzies also.

I never thought of wearing a robe with the undies. I really like that idea!
Thanks,

This is on our Aussie Nationals thread as well but I think it shows Clancy's outfit better - she looked gorgeous as always!

LL, I think your idea is great. The girls would look so cute in Can Can outfits, and as little as they are, they would probably look like they were wearing square dance or clogging outfits.

The pattern i used was Simplicity 5188... I used a smaller size than needed to make it as it is quite large.
I had 7 metres (7.7 yards) of 45" fabric to make a robe and it ran a fraction short, but i washed the fabric and it shrunk a little, I just took a fraction off the length, it was still long enough on me.

I forgot that I had taken a picture of Shotglass in her gorgeous boudoir outfit at Mule Camp. I just love the color and ............ooooooo velvet.
