that suggested cancan dresses in an Instant message.....oh that would be me.... :18 got done making my ruffles yesterday and putting them on the lining....now I have to go back and put a ribbon over all of the seams....I made them with organza and it is starting to fray out of the gathering :kbutt yikes I :bow to all that have done this.....also...did your underskirt pucker with the ruffles or did I not do it correctly...not bad but enough so it is funny on the wrong side....

Oh we can convince you....you can get preruffled ruffles or use material that isn't organza and doesn't fray so easily....it's gonna be pretty!

I sewed my lining together Wednesday night and added the first layer of ruffles. It wasn't bad at all, the skirt went together in no time flat. I am using pre-gathered lace for my ruffles.....decreasing as many headaches as possible. As I just finished the "Top Secret" dress and thought I'd never get it finished. But, Oh My GAWD, I can't wait for everyone to see it!!!

You are right, the lining went together like a dream, it was all of the ruffles....but I started with the ribbon and it is going to look great....

You know, I was wonderin' whose dadgummed idea these CanCan dresses were, too!!!!! But I can't wait till y'all see mine!

Still I had planned to be Mae West for the Saloon Dance. I have the dress, the hat, the wig, Everything!!!! And then someone pops up and says let's all be CanCan for the Dance!
