Just remember to always do "File --> Save As" after altering a picture. That way you leave the original pic intact in case you've made any mistakes with the alteration. I also recommend that if you make a mistake with your first alteration that you return to the original pic and start over, rather than altering the alteration. Every time you just plain Save a pic in .jpg format (rather than Save As), it compresses it again and you lose some of the clarity of the pic.
Knowing that you're not going to mess up your original pic will help to give you the confidence to play with your pictures and get good at editing and posting them. It's lots of fun!
While you're editing and before you save your pic, don't forget your Edit --> Undo feature any time you've made a change that you decide you don't like.

Wow!!!!! Hmmmm, maybe I should have a crisis! Then I could get my Mini Cooper convertible or a VW bug convertible! Of course it would have to be red!
It's been a VERY long time since I've wanted anything with the letters
F-O-R-D on it, but dang, this new Mustang is really tempting me. Fine lookin' auto you got there.

She actually let's me sit in it:lool
These new ones are sorta a retro look at the first four years of them. The instrument pod reminds me of the '67/'68's. The body looks like the '65/'66 fastbacks, with a little of the first Shelby's thrown in( the little windows in the C-pillar)....Buck:cgun :99

Oh my gosh, I have so loved the classic Mustangs all of my life. I found a baby blue '65 when I was 16 but my Dad wouldn't let me buy it. I so love the new ones but they just don't fit into my life right now. But, I've got good news too, go see my Kiwi thread.:tban

Weeoooh!
Purdy car! Finally they've returned to the cool body styles.
How old do you have to be for a mid-life crisis? I'd say I had my MLC car back in the early 90s (my 40s). It was a '64 black Corvette Sting Ray. I still have it, just don't drive it anymore. I like sitting up, like in a Jeep now. Guess I'm through the crisis, just not the "second childhood.":tban
Regards,
Allie
PS Fannie, the first car I bought with my own money was a '65 Mustang, which I bought in 1968.

Oh, yeah! Now that's what a Mustang is s'posed to look like! Go, Mustang Susie! (But not too fast--don't want that nice man in the uniform to unlimber that radar gun!)
Now you need a nice overnight road trip, just the two of you, to really try it out!

The first car I bought with my very own money was a Candy Apple Red 1976 Toyota Celica, which I bought the beginning of my senior year in high school, 1986. I loved that car and drove it until Aneeda was two years old. It had over 200,000 miles on it, then I sold it to an upcoming high school senior.

Oh Ima, that would be fabulous! Wow, to bring back the Shelby. Now, if they want me to rush out a buy a new car with retro body styling, they just need to bring back the 1968 Camaro. Oh my gosh, an orange Camaro with the white racing stripes. Be still my heart.:faint

I found an original Shelby in this area, once, back in the '80's. Very sad story attached to it.
The property owner's son had bought it and then went to RVN, unfortunately, he didn't come back alive. The owner let it sit in the yard for years, wouldn't drive it or sell it. By the time I spotted it, it was in pretty sad shape. It finally disappeared sometime in the '90's. Never did find out whether someone finally convinced him to sell it or if it got scrapped......Buck:snifles :cgun

Allie Mo, My first car was a '65 Mustang also. 289, three speed on the floor, Vintage burgandy/ black interior. Had an AM radio with a rear seat speaker and reverb. Every time you hit a big bump, that spring in the reverb would go " BOING!!!!!!":lool
I've had a total of five Mustangs over the years, this one is the first fastback............Buck:pony

I had a beautiful green '68 Mustang until about a year ago. I went to the car wash. They said I shouldn't go through since I couldn't remove my antenna and it was most likely to get broken. I stopped at the light, it turned green and I went. I was 9/10 of the way across when, out of NOWHERE, doing over 60mph in a 40 zone, this 96 Camaro came across me like a bullet. He T-boned my little green pony in the motor section about 3 inches in front of the passenger side. My son was in that seat! We went spinning!! The door flew open, he almost fell out but hit his temple on the doorway and was thrown back inside. When it all came to a stop, the Camaro was fine, the other driver was ok. My Mustang was torn apart (the only thing good on the front was the antenna. Still standing.) My son wasn't badly hurt, just bruised. I had been hit in the eye (Extensive bruising and pain) a few bruises, a little whiplash. My CAR WAS DEAD! We had it since about '70.
Now, I have a replacement(had to dump my SUV due to it's illness). I have a '99 Mustang Cobra, the Black Dog. 5 speed, signed motor, Black exterior, black interior, 24000 miles. It likes me. I like it. I think I'll keep it. If I can get some pictures (ComiCon keeps us busy for a while) I'll try and post them. (Sorry for the long explanation. My Aunt always said I was vaccinated with a phonograph needle.)

The husband had a 65 Mustang. He was T-boned also. An old man ran a stop sign onto the main road and plowed into him. Husband got the ticket! They said he was going to fast. And how in the the Lord's name did someone running a stop sign go scott free???
I had a RED 67 Mustang. It was a love/hate relationship. Darn thing was disasterous in snow.
Then there was our favorite "banana boat" mustang. Remember those? Two tone banana yellow and dark tan. It was nice but the ex husband traded it in on a POS: GRANADA!!!! I HATED THAT CAR!
Now I have a Toyota Tacoma 4 door. I'm in LOVE until that new TUNDRA COMES OUT!!!

Oh, lord, the old Mustangs in rain or snow... Drivin' wheels in the back, big engine in the front was a heck of a recipe for fishtailing at every light. (Though I did have a friend who owned one who knew how to drift it. Wonder how many tickets that boy's got by now?) :D

Lioness, My '68 was gulfstream aqua metallic with a two tone aqua interior. Had one of the last factory 289's, auto. Had the fake wood steering wheel and styled steel wheels with the plain-jane centers. It was probably one of the "See The Light" sale promotion cars as it also had the factory fogs. It was really a nice looking car and after some tinkering, ran like a scalded cat...........Buck:go

Most of the "muscle cars" of our youth had Positve Traction lock rear ends, to avoid slip differential problems, that could be added on to the cost of the car. Most of my youth was spent behind several cars...However as a teenager, My step Father and a friend of the family Neil Nagata purchased Gass Rhonda's 1964 Ford Thunderbolt. (Very few made), and all for Commercial sponsorship of Drag Racers. We add a fiberglass front end, Blueprinted 427 DOHC engine, port and polished to the max..Developing over 1000 Horsepower to the rear wheels. Brakes consisted of a large hand brake and a parachute. Driving it in the 1/4 mile was a rush to say the least.
We won our class at the NHRA Winternationals held at the (OLD) Irwindale Raceway in California. We were then in a class called "B GAS" .
Other adventures included:
1963 Corvette Stingray, (one of six), equipped with thy 427 Fuel injected engine...
1956 Chevy two door Coup with post. Engine bored from 327 to 350 with Cam and crank work equipped with a tri power carburetion.
A Original Ford Carroll Shelby Cobra with the 289. The ol boy had it taken away after the Last pursuit by LAPD...That was back in the days when LAPD would use pursuit vehicle's on the freeways. Heavily equipped and gutted interior 442 Oldsmobile's with the Big 427 engines and dual Carbs. Those cars were capable of sustained speeds in excess of 200 mphs. Extra large gas tanks were fitted to allow for extended ventures.
Like Coffee Em mentioned, the Bowling ball took a lot of those things away, Family..Careers and responsibilities. Miss the fast cars..and the Motorcycles and of course the Fast Women.. :lool
But I kept the music, the memories and replaced the cars with Colts, Winchesters, Marlins, Shotguns and of course slower women..so I can keep up. :lool
But once a week or so I go by the Harley Davidson Store ........and drool.............
"And we'll have fun, fun, fun, Now that daddy took the T-Bird away."

Hey, Kid, you left out the "mis-" in front of "spent"! :rofl :rofl :rofl
I was an SCCA racing fan. If someone had left a Triumph TR-3 under the Christmas tree for me, I'd have gone nuts with joy.
Good thing that didn't happen, since I'd have had to quit school, get a job, and set up my paycheck for direct deposit to J. C. Whitney for parts. My dad would have loved it, though. And given how much time it would have spent in his back-garage shop, he'd have gotten to play with it more than I would have!

Het Kid ,
Until about 6 years ago I had one of the 63 split window coops..Had the 327 Fuel injected, close ratio 4 speed and side pipes. Metalic Blue with black interior. I guess the only thing that kept me outta jail with that car was my old man was the local cop and the only thing that kept me from getting killed in it was the Southeast asia war games..
Man oh Man I don't know how I made it !!!!!
