Hi everyone....well this is the second time my home has been broken into while I was away...no real damage and only a few things missing that I could tell so far. But, I am seeing red this morning and on my way back! I just hope to be there when the varmints come calling again, so I will be away from a computer while I wait. :blast
Just wanted everyone to know that you are in my thoughts daily and if I miss any welcomes, congrats, birthdays, or good karma needing to be sent....it is always there in my heart just waiting for you. Hugs, Duzy

Ahhh man, sorry to hear about that. So much for neighborhood watch and the local authorities huh.
Hopefully nothing important or sentimental is missing. Although "stuff" can be replaced it just burns me up that there are those who won't EARN it and steal it from those who do.:tap
GET A ROPE too bad that if we set traps, we're the ones who go to jail...
Ima, pissed at your loss, Schofield

GRRRRRR! I had it happen to me 3 times when we lived in a city. That's one of the reasons we moved. Nothing important ever taken but you feel so violated. I hate it for you. Hate it, hate it, hate it !!!!!!

Hubbie's new bicycle was stolen right out of our garage. First we were really mad as hell. We had life group that night and we were tell the group what happened. Suddenly, Dan looks at everyone and asks us to pray for the kid that took it. Everyone laughed at first but Dan was serious the kid needed help. Well, two weeks later the police department recovered the bike in good shape. So, I guess I'm going to pray that who every took your stuff that they get their just reward. Be tar and feathering or whatever.

:ty for thinking of me while I was away.
Ima, I loved your closing line....:rofl
Lazy K, it is a violation and I am sorry for your losses and thankful that you thought of mine.
Kid, your post was funny and tempting.....but the "be careful, Duzy" stuck with me while I was there. :ty
Coffee Em, thank you for your concern...you are a sweetheart! :ty
Fleur, as always you are thinking of others...:ty
Kitty, so happy you got the bicycle back and thank you too!
Sweet Violet, it is not often we see you grouchy....so :ty
Goldie, you know how it feels, and :ty too!
Tatted Lady, I did need a laugh that morning, so :ty
As it turned out, I lost some landscape timbers, my chiminea, a cedar swing, some costume jewelry and a hand made quilt that was over 75 years old and a window replacement. It makes me think it is adults who would take these kind of things and leave others. I plan to have someone set me out next time so it will look like no one is there and just wait inside to greet them in my most Southernly way! :waiting :blast

RETRIBUTION! Isn't that the Cowboy word for "Fair"? Miss Duzy you call for the posse and we'll be there quick enough. You know, there were some real great home security ideas in that there Christmas movie HOME ALONE. My favorite was the hot door handles... next time a burgler comes around to your place....
SO GLAD you weren't home and are safe. Many thanks to the Great Spirit for your safety.

My in laws were robbed recently, they live on a golf course with neighbors five feet away! The robbers took a shot through the house from the front???maybe to see if someone was there, bullet went in the bedroom and down a hallway and into the linen closet into the towels. When no one responded, they actually broke in the front door and stole every item of value, TV, microwaves sound systems, even the wires on the walls for surround sound we had just installed for his Dad! BUT they did not find the floor safe in the closet with all the real valuables, HA! My daughter and I came over to check the house as Mum and Dad were away, you know to water the plants and stuff and found the front door open, we turned and ran to the neighbors and called the police, never know if the criminals are still there! But they weren't. Never got anything back, thank goodness Dad inventories EVERYTHING in the house, and had insurance, but it is SUCH a violation to endure.
I would be tempted to get a real good video camera and use it every time I left the house, might catch the suckers!:blast

Duzy, sugar, I am so sorry. My aunt was robbed 2 weeks before Christmas. They took all of her jewelry, the TV, stereo and all the Christmas presents under the tree! Luckily, they caught the skunks and she did recover some her jewelry, the TV and the stereo, but none of the Christmas presents. We were happy that she and my uncle were okay, and everyone on that side of the family decided not to exchange gifts this year. You know, it was still real nice.

Duzy, We're so thankful you are safe. Here's hoping they catch the dirty rats and you get your things back. How about a GBD* security system?

I woke up this morning to read all these replies and honestly cried that so many of you would respond in such a loving way! :ty so much! That is what makes this Alley so special, and why it brings so many wonderful people together to laugh, joke, vent and cry together.....and, we have such a wealth of information from so many talented people.
I want to thank the Carolina Belles :ty :ty for working so hard to give us this place to come to and to Hugh for working behind the scenes to keep it up and running. Thanks also to our :2 whose wit keeps us amused and delighted.
