I will not be on for a couple of days now, and the Nevada State Championships are this weekend, and we are going to camp out at the range. It's only 25 miles fromt the house, so we will come back in on Saturday to get all gussied up. Gonna be out there with Nellie Blue too! See ya - Skye

I wanna go! Can I? Can I? Oh well, I'll be in Vegas in 2 months anyway. I'm too busy right now to go anywhere with the exception of monthly shoots. The Wild Bunch has me busy working on the Hall of Fame Inductee videos and that will tie me up till the 2nd week in November.

Home for a shower and cool off.......the posse we are on is great, and FAST! We have champions Dixie Bell, Lady Line from Oregon, last years' Nevada State Champ Penny Pepperbox, lady gunfighter Iona Vaquero, and Nellie and I are on the same posse too!! Fast company. I got my first "P" :re , reloaded my shotgun too quickly and had to shoot before where I was supposed to be....not scaring anyone with my brillant shooting, but having a blast and doing well for me!!! Just two misses. Tomorrow we finish the stages, and then the Banquet. Forgot to ask Nellie what she was wearing. Oh yes, did a little shopping too! Skye

I got a little too hot today and got even sicker than I did in the afternoon at Mule Camp...PMS knows how bad that would be!! Thanks to Kid Sopris for making sure my wet towel was cold.

I'm not wearing anything new, but my aunt will be....we've been busily working on getting her dress done for Saturday night.

What a fun shoot! This has been very well organized. I wore my pretty new pink dress, and felt great in it! I was lucky enough to win the "Middle Score" prize of a new custom made 100x beaver hat from D Bar J Hats. Cool! Hope Nellie got some pictures, I was too busy. Skye

I only got a few at the banquet cuz I was counting Costume Contest ballots...they had EVERYONE vote!!!! I even missed taking a photo of Lafitte!!!! Dang it!

OK, Kid....I placed 4th in Ladies Traditional!!! I didn't mind getting beat by Dixie Bell (1st), Chantelly Lace (2nd & the NV State Champion), and Addie Rose (3rd).

****But I wasn't happy with my shooting...between gun problems and brain problems**** :lool :lool :lool :lool :lool :lool

Don't you just hate it when you see a picture of yourself shooting and you see all the things you are doing wrong!!!

This is from one of the side matches on Thursday. It was called the "Shotgun Challenge". You needed 16+ rounds...there was a rabbit, a bowling ball that rolled down and tripped a flyer at about 5-1/2 seconds, there were 3 poppers (2 threw charcoal and 1 threw a shaken up, full soda can), another knockdown that started a flyer, and a bunch of knockdowns. It was a lot of fun.

Pistol hammer was hitting light...at first I thought it was me...then I switched to a different pistol and no problem.

This is half of the Best Dressed Couple...my good friend Livi Langtry...the photo does not do it justice!!! That is sheer lace over the top of embroideried silk with lots of beading and embroideried applicae (how the heck do you spell that) and broaches pinned all over it!

Way to go , Nellie. Nice looking outfits, too. I just missed cleaning our annual this weekend. Had one round that must have had more powder in it. Instead of bang, it went BOOM. Faster bullet, flatter trajectory, sights were on the target, bullet went under the target. My only miss the whole weekend.
Last three years, I've had one miss, two misses, and one miss. Just can't seem to clean an annual...........Buck :re :18 :noe
