My last project

This is my summerproject. As we speak it is finished, but I don't have a picture of me wearing it yet...

Ohhhh I love that skirt! Its the 1890's one right?
You did I beautiful job with it I like the inset satin in the back of the bodice.

Actually, I used a Grand Foulard (big piece of fabric you wrap around a chair or drape over a couch, don't know if it is called the same over there). I sewed a really heavy denim on the inside to keep the fabric from tearing apart, and it worked out quite nice if I may say so myself.
The fabric for the skirt I saw and immediatly fell in love with it, it is such a lovely colour! And it matches the fabric from the bodice faboulously because the same shade of blue is used for one of the flowers!!! So yes, I am very pleased with this newest creation of mine!!! :sewing

PB, we call those a "couch cover", not quite so elegant sounding as Grand Foulard. :lool
