Hi Y'all!! (Being in the South at the BustOut really rubbed off on me!)

Well, I am back from EOT! FINALLY! (It's a 14 hour drive for us so we do it in two days!) I'm so tired, but it was worth it!

Boy, was it fun dressing up and visiting and shopping and eating (not to mention drinking! :tql Oops - there goes another rubber tree plant!!) and laughing!!! Not sure which I did the most of! And I really enjoyed camping there on the grounds! Close to all the action!! Easy to make necessary ensemble changes! I even enjoyed our little (LITTLE!!) cloudbursts/hailstorms! Of course, I was back at our motor home during the worst of them! Felt really bad for those shooting right then!!

And, ooohh, the clothes!! So many fabulous outfits!! The costume contests and the concerts and the dances... so much fun!! Just people watching kept me really busy! So many ideas to stash away!!

But most of all, it was great to meet so many of you, to put faces to the names! Now I am even more excited to go to convention and meet the rest of you!!

Thanks for all the lovely comments!! It was fun (as always) to get dressed up with a theme in mind! There were a lot of great ball gowns that night! But there were also a lot of fancy B-western and fancy western wear outfits! This ball, like the setting, was more casual, which, if you think about it, is very apropos for the end of the trail. As much western as victorian... very eclectic!! What fun!!!

Kate, thanks for the compliment! Dang, I was so looking forward to visiting with you again! Sure missed you!

Sweet Violet, I can send copies of my pics for you via e-mail or snail mail, just say the word... Ladies, can you imagine, Sweet Violet wasn't happy with her "to die for" ball gown!! I thought it was fabulous!! And you know, Sweetie, I never did see your mom's ball gown, so you need to post a pic of it for us, please!

GG, the lace was my favorite part of my dress (the ever fraying taffeta the least !!) But I was so afraid to cut it for the longest time. Wasn't really sure what I was doing, as usual! Turned out okay, I guess, but I thought it kind of plain (as far as victorian styles go) and not in the same league as most of the others. (Gonna do better for convention!! Maybe I won't wait til the week before next time... :goofy)

Kitty - you ARE going to convention this year!! Not another word about it! .... Please try to make it, I want you there!!!
