I need these pictures for the SASS Wire. Big Ed of Sanpedro Saddlery made this rig, with some input from me and voila...The Fannie Kikinshoot rig was born!! This rig stops cowboys and cowgirls in their tracks and makes them ask, "Where did you get that rig and how do I get one?" Of course I tell them Big Ed made it and that they just need to call and order a Fannie Kikinshoot rig. He does all variatons of colors, so it doesn't have to red roses...he does yellow, blue and purple, and maybe even other variations that I'm not aware of! Thanks again Big Ed, I love my rig and am proud to wear it.:ty :ty

The holster is contoured to fit a woman's figure, not a man's.

Thank you, everyone! This rig is wonderful. You can have one, too, just call Big Ed at Sanpedro Saddlery.

I would have to guess a rig like that goes for close to $1,000.... Hhhmmmmm.... that's only 25 dogs to groom at an average of $40 a piece. Might have to start me a "custom rig fund!"

Fannie, do you think magnolia blossoms would fit on a rig? Don't know if that design would look good or not. My favorite flower, and one that grows wild in the bayous, is the Iris, but Magnolias are a Southern girl's trademark. Anyway, I will have to seriously consider getting a custom rig someday. Of course if I get a custom rig, Malone will want one too.... ;) He'll have to start his own "custom rig fund." :gg

BB, I believe Ed calls those flowers the " San Pedro Rose". Been awhile. Susie has a pair of his floral carved holsters for her Model P jrs., and they are works of art.........Buck:cgun

That design is the Tombstone Rose, which is the rose bush his grandmother brought with her from the East when she moved to Tombstone. The Fannie Kikinshoot Rig starts at $800, I believe.

I've been doing some research since you posted your rig on the forum Fannie. I have been intouch with Purdy Gear and have decided to commission her to make it!! I am soooo excited! She is going to do the magnolia carving and a special whiplacing on the holsters. :D I'm also going to have her do a knife sheath to match for my purdy knife! I've decided on a straight-cut rig & holsters so that I have more options with the belt.

Now, I will just have to be patient and wait! http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/j0/leseratte.gif
