I am so darned excited! We had our annual match yesterday. The ladies shooting class was an open class because there weren't enough ladies to make seperate classes (unless I could round up 5 lady gunfighters).

I usually place second or third and never shot better than one of the ladies. I was floored when she came in THIRD. Then second was awarded to a woman I usually shoot about the same with. I had four misses and thought there was no way I could finish so I just sat back. My name was called for FIRST.

Yep, it was an open class and you could shoot any style.

I sure love shooting gunfighter but switched to traditional for this match. I had every intention of going GF until that morning when my right hand had NO feeling in it at all. I felt more comfortable having that extra support while holding the gun. It was a bit on the cool side that morning and my hands don't feel too great when they get cold.

What was also cool, I found out I beat my husband for the first time also! This was the first match I took him down too! YEEHAAAAAA!

I'm jealous! I have one match 'win'. It was club-level and I won because all the regular hot-shots were away at the state match. :-)
