OK, I've made the Dore....then someone posted the link (http://trulyvictorian.netfirms.com/LM100.html) to Truly Victorian that described who should wear which type and now I'm really confused about which one I should make next time. Can ya'll post photos of your Dore and Silverados (along with any comments on fit differences) so I can compare them and determine which one I should make?

Nellie I think most folks can wear the Dore' The silverado looks better on ladies with smaller bust size who want a push up look...the larger the bust the odder the line in the silverado it basically sits the bust line on a shelf and creats a harsh flat line in front that breaks the rounded victorian bust you are going for.

Somewhere heather and her sister both posted photos of in both the Dore' and the silverado...Heather is a silverado girl being a barely B while her sister who has a full bust line looks better in a Dore.

I would say of you are a B or a small C try the silverado (it is also longer waisted so if you are short waisted thats another good reason to choose the Dore') If you are a large C or up use the Dore'

I could totally wear the silverado (yep thats me practically flat!) But I wear the dore' and I am perfectly happy with it, less pieces to fiddle with :re

You could always throw a few pieces of nylon boning in a mock and see what you think in the silverado before you purchase all the hardware...then if you don't like it - no big loss.

It also depends what look you are going for....here is my "silverado" style corset....I would never wear this style under a bodice. :w2

And here is my "dore" style corset, which is what I wear under my bodices.

And this is what the dore corset looks like under the bodice.

Thank you, Miss Fannie, for the photos. I have always wondered what the difference would be. One never knew which one was better to use. NOW, I know which one would be for under clothing. And thanks for the picture of how the Dore looks under an outfit (one of my favorites of yours, I might add).
