To those of you who find yourself suddenly on the outside looking in,
to those of you who suddenly find yourself a lone spark among the ashes of rational thought,
to those of you who suddenly find yourself in need of solace, comfort and acceptance without judgment,
to those of you who can put the past behind you, stand up and walk forward without looking back,
and mostly to those of you who are looking for a "home" where you are greeted with a smile, welcomed with open arms, encouraged to join in, gently chided when you err, answered honestly when you ask, cheered when you succeed, consoled when you fail, and treated as an equal with dignity, respect, and consideration,
then I welcome you to join us here. We have created this place, this Utopia, where we laugh and cry and share and listen and comfort and accept anyone and everyone who comes here. It may seem unreal at first, and it may be overwhelming before you realize that this place truly exists, if only in the hearts of the 300 cowboy and cowgirl souls that live here. The Alley is a concept, kept alive by people who believe that we can all co-exist under the umbrella of acceptance and understanding.
Come on in. We would welcome your wise counsel, your quick wit and your mental provocation. Mostly though, we would just welcome you.
Send me a private message.

Alli, it couldn't have been more honestly and beautifully said! :ty for starting and not wavering from your dream of this place. It is definately the most beautiful, uplifting and encouraging place on the net.....and You and the other Belles' and all the AlleyCats make it like home sometimes, and then sometimes a place to be away from home.....

Alli, that's a perfect description of the Alley, and a great summary of why I'm here. Thank you so much for making this place, and thanks to all of you for helping maintain its spirit.

Such a beautiful welcome has inspired me to post again. We (me, my husband, daughter, 2 cats and a dog) have departed Arizona and made our way to Texas. We have found a beautiful house in Allen Texas (about 15 miles north of Dallas) but we can't move in until the 16th of June. :waiting Until then we are in a "corporate apartment" in Dallas. Everyone except my puppy who is in a kennel.
I am very excited about this move. The job is great. The house is much larger than the one we had in Tucson and I even have a sewing room all to myself. I guess I should use the wait to find a SASS club nearby or a reeanctment group. I wanted to go to End of Trail this year but our move blew that out of the water, just gotta work on getting to the convention instead and making a scarlet dress (already have a gorgeous red and gold brocade I want to use). Come on June 16th, so I can unpack my sewing machine!!!:sewing

Here! Here! I have found this to be my "happy place". The only other place I have found to be so warm and welcoming is the Tombstone Vigilantes group, and we ALL need love and support in our endeavors. Well said Alli! How could anyone NOTwant to join in????
Hi Lady Dallas! Glad to hear you have settled in for a bit over there, you are missed over here!
