Here's one of Sammi shootin' speed pistol -- thanks ya'll for letting us buy a ticket and give it a try for fun! And MANY thanks to Jackson Aces (for the pistols & the rig I wore) and Aneeda Bullseye (I think that is her alias....for the rig Sammi wore) for letting us borrow stuff!

Yup, BayouBlessings, we were having too much fun, and the vest was a wonderful topper to the day! And Sammi is definately a keeper!
Here's a pic of her sporting the vest.....she loves it and is soooooo excited that she has a headstart on her costuming!

oh, more about Outlaw Joe Wales...
He definately IS a great instructor w/ loads of patience! He was so good w/ Sammi (and me..) It was AWESOME to have that opportunity at the match....can't say enough thanks for that! It's probably one of the most influential things that got us there, and made me wanna keep on headin' up the road to get there after the whole alternator breakdown episode on the interstate!
I kept watching and listening to him, tryin' SO hard to decide where I knew him from.....familiar face, familiar voice that went with that face....I just KNEW that I knew him.....then it finally hit me (he's gonna kill me for this....) I didn't actually KNOW the person, but the one I had in my mind that matched the face and voice....was.....(I hope I don't get slaughtered for this!) was..."Mr Edwards" on Little House on the Prairie!

BTW, I can see exactly how Outlaw Joe Wales reminds you of Mr. Edwards. I always loved Mr. Edwards. He was one of my favorite characters on Little House.

Alli, I know what you mean, and I didn't even have the pleasure of actually meeting and speaking with him....I'm sure there are only about 1,000 other cowboy shooters that would adopt him in a heartbeat!

Phooey, it's midnight! My STOOPID dial-up is painfully slow tonight for some reason, but I'm gonna put a couple more pics in this post and call it a night! One is another "artsy" shot, and one of Annie Gunneldo (sp?) (hope I got the alias right!) who looks like she is about to be the victim of some "pistol pick-pocketing" (!) by the owner of the "purty pistol" pic I posted earlier (sorry, don't remember her alias....ugh, don't hurt me ya'll!)
Didn't even shoot the shot thinking that, I believe I was after a shot of Annie's buckle w/ the mare & foal on it or something, who knows, but when I saw the pic, I thought it looked as if there was a robbery about to happen!

I'm glad to hear y'all enjoyed the instructional stage. It was my pleasure to teach it. I was honored that the Belles asked me and Pretty Penny to do it. Hopefully, we'll be back next year to do the same thing!
