As for the invite, well, the welcome mat is always out. We would like to have y'all at all our WOT events. The next one is in April, 2006.
As for the Bar-B-Que. Well, here in NC there are fights as to which is better. Mustard base, Ketchup base, Vinegar base, etc. I don't have the heart to tell ya that Penny and I went to a family gathering after the event and guess what, we had bar-b-que.
However, we do have another NRA event coming up soon. I know it would be a strech for you Shawme, but on Oct 1st in Asheville, is a fundraising dinner. We will be raising money for things like the Women On Target program and other shooting activities. I was told yesterday by my NRA rep that y'all have an invitation. I will be letting the other Belles know about it too! We are gonna have raffles and auctions for mostly guns! There are a few other things, but mostly guns!
Here's hoping some of the Belles (and this time, their cowboys too) can come!

I'll dig up some close ups for you. We took almost 300 pictures! As far as gloves go, we look everywhere. Kate has a treasure trove of gloves from her grandmother. Ebay is a great source, Kid skin gloves are always wonderful, but as you said, the vintage ones are usually small.

The best BBQ is vinegar based. Comes sliced or chopped, served with hush puppies, tea and some people put slaw with it.
Best town for BBQ is Wilson, NC.

About that barbeque... There is no, repeat, NO bad variety of barbeque. There are bad executions of one type or another, but all schools of barbeque--tomato, vinegar, Kansas City, Texas, Carolina, pulled pork sandwich, hickory-smoked chicken--are the jewels in the crown of the American culinary empire. I'm a vegetarian, people, and even I know this.

Fighting over barbeque is like quarreling over dark versus milk chocolate. Of course you have a personal preference, but good grief, it's CHOCOLATE! Get a grip! :rofl

I do agree somewhat with you on the fact that there are only two kinds of BBQ, good and better. Same for Chocolate, almost the same for pizza and somethng else I won't mention on the wire because my Mama raised me as a gentileman. I regress from that sometimes as I get older.
