I'm starting to really like this shotgun. I doubt it will ever be the fastest shotgun I use but it sure is fun to shoot. With a short stroke on a rifle and then the looooonnnngggg throw on this, it takes more than a little getting used too. I'm determined to master it though. I'm not going to shoot any other shotgun until I do either! Meanwhile, the spotters will take their naps! :rofl

Wallaby,
These guns are really neat! We've got a shooter 'round these parts that shoots an original and single loads. He's slick as can be. He's fast enough to do poppers that way too! I wanna be like him when I grow up! :tban

BHB- I got mine last month and was quite surprised by the LOP. I had to have an additional 3/4" taken off the stock and a new recoil pad put on. Made a big difference!
Going to have Nate Kiowa Jones do an action job to it as sometimes I still don't get it pushed all the way forward so that the first shell (usually) ejects and the second comes up and into place. Also have a couple of areas on the carrier visibly rubbing on the receiver.
I think Cap has done a great job getting this gun reproduced for us cowboy shooters!!:party

We are waiting on one of Coyote Caps slicked up jobs....we are number 324 so hopefully should be getting ours soon....Cookie has an original in 10 gauge which he loves, but I can't shoot because the loads are too heavy....can't wait to get the new one and try it out with featherlites....

Hi Folks,

I've always shot an '87 for the Plainsman side match and thought it was fun; but, I'm slow too.

Since my surgery, it hurts to pump the '97. So, I've used the '87 to shoot. My biggest problem is keeping it on my shoulder while loading. The best solution I've come up with is to load two at a time. That speeds things up a little.

Hope that's helpful.

Regards,

Allie Mo

Chipmunk Nd I have both shot an original, loved it. Don't think it would be much slower than my double used to be.

Nope! Never! I'm just finally getting the hang of it. I've got a ways to go but these shotguns are just too much fun to let in the gunsafe!
