Well, I'm back! And as usual...I took my camera and forgot to take any photos...but I'm hoping my new friends from California will forward some to me and I can post them.

I'm so excited! I won 2nd place in Ladies Traditional! Beat by Dixie Bell...well, if I've gotta get beat....I'm proud to be beat by one of the best!

I also had my first squib! I've always wondered if I would know to stop when I had one...there was definitely no doubt in my mind when it happened and I stopped mid-stroke on my pistol and had to let the hammer back down VERY gently. As a learning tool...my squib was not caused by a light load, it was caused by a clump of cleaning media and polishing compound caught in my casing before I loaded it...primer burnt the media really good...just didn't ignite the gun powder! Cause 4 misses! Dang it! (Those misses still wouldn't have put me close enough to Dixie Bell) :lool

Congrats Nellie!!!! I went to a shoot today and I guess one could say I took first place Ladies Traditional (whisper mode on, I was the only lady in the entire match, whisper mode off) LOL!!! But, our first stage was 3Gun Western, and I loved it. We shot the rifle at a swinging target for bonus points with 20 possible. I got 18 with two bullseyes. A huge shocker for me.
Also, I had no misses with the rifle, just with the pistols. After the shoot, shot paper targets with them, and they are half the sight off. So now, armed with that knowlegde, Thanks Nellie and all for telling me to do that, I should have fewer misses. Nellie, I hope you had as much fun as I did today!!!

Congratulations Ladies on the great shooting!

Nellie, I beat Dixie Bell in a shoot off last year (and I mean really kicked ...). (Whisper on) Now for the real story. She shot her little wimpy loads and couldn't get the pistol knock downs to go down. I switched from my little wimpy loads to hot 45s for the shoot off.

Guess size mattered. Anyway, I didn't win the shootoff but it was still kinda cool. :chick (Whisper off)

The way I'm shooting since my surgery, no one has to worry about me anymore.
