I had trouble with this duct tape dummy because it flattens my not-so-ample breasts. I also made the mistake of using bubble wrap to stuff it which, over time, deflated and shifted so I ended up with a thicker waist, no chest and no hips. AARGH. Here's another website where you can buy instructions. Looks like there are lots of pictures and more detail
http://www.leanna.com/DuctTapeDouble/
This site also has free instructions without the photos but since hubby Slim Weed is gonna have to help me he needs all the help he can get! I just ordered the instructions. I'll let you know how it turns out

Lazy K, she sells the instructions now? Phooey! She used to have them posted on her site for free. You can find the same instructions in the Threads Magazine archives, since it's her method that they described when they did their article on several ways to make manniquins:

I just got the download and it was worth the $10. It's 26 pages. lots of photos and looks like good instructions. Even Slim Weed will be able to understand how to tape me up.

Fannie I am HERE until Wednesday...we will let Allie take photos! BAhhahaha

Small busted women of the world unite!:gg :kiss Here is the "trick!" you need to be very careful to not pull the tape across the bust in a Wrapping a box for the post office maner!
Take SMALL ( like 4-6 inch stretches of take and gently lay them across the bust ...menfolk are you listening? see how much fun you all could be having helping your better halves with this project?)
You need a good three layers, and the tape is just ment to be the mold, not ment to mold you ( which it is MORE than strong enough to do!) into a shape.
When you stuff the casing of tape afterward get out your dressmakes tape and double check the numbers....the bust waist hip ect should match your in corset and undies measurments! :chick

Marvellous, a link with pictures how to make your own body-clone!!!! I heard (read is more the word) about these duct-tape-dummies, but never quite understood what they were for....(silly me...:18 ) But now i know what it is for!!!! And I printed the directions out, so (he doen't know yet) hubbie can tape me!!!
I have a dressform, but it a very old one, and the size is not verry accurate. I can work with it, but it is easier if you pin something to the form and the size is right, isn't it???
So thank you for posting, I'm one happy gall!!!!:ty :ty :ty :bow :bow :bow

Well, my duct tape dummy is complete (sorta) with the help of hubbie, Slim Weed. His comment? "Next time we're buying a dress form even if it costs $500." It takes a lot longer to make the form than you might think. And don't attempt this if you are claustrophobic. But I'm preety happy with the results. And I'm looking forward to that $500 form Slim promised me.:sewing

I'm proud to announce I (with the help of Hubby) have completed MY duct tape dummy!!!! It turned out pretty good I think for a first attempt. I will try to attach a link to the pictures. Helga(I let hubby name her since he helped me) was a little shy about being on the web with no clothes on so I dressed her and will also try to attach that link.

That very good!! It looks better than my first one!
And see your clothes fit it perfectly! Now you have a lovely helper to drape with and she will not complain, eat your chocolate or steel you soda! She will let you pick out the radio station ( or audio book in my case) and she wont whine when you are in the mood for early morning or late night sewing!! :tban :tban :tban :tban
