Throughout the ever evolving and change that takes place this sport, ideas, concepts and images dictate direction of our appearance over the long haul. Here is the New leather outfit fromhttp://www.westernstarleather.com/, made exclusively under my concept of "Kid Sopris Image".

The Gun Belt itself supporting right and left strong side holsters popular from about 1881 through the turn of the early 1900's and carried by Arizona Rangers in the pursuit of the unlawful. The double Mexican loop Holsters are fashioned after the "F.A.MEANA of MILES CITY, MONTANA", characteristic of the Northern plains design with slight swell. The diamond pattern as seen on the belt holsters and shotgun belt, as well with spur straps and cuffs are identical, completing the outfit. Cartridge belt holds 50 rounds of .44-40 and the shotgun belt holds 20 rounds. The ends of the Bullet and shotshell loops are adorned with German Silver and belt and holsters are fully lined.

The belt is held together with the SASS Life member Custom Belt Buckle and engraved with alias.

John Costanza's work is so authentic and exquiste, that famed Author and Historian Phil Spangenberger has featured his works at the SASS Convention and on film and in print. I thought I share this with you so you may see some top quality leather work. The Guns in the Picture are my twins of course, and my Aintiqued Nickled & Engraved 1860 Henry as seen on my web page http://www.kidsopris.com under Guns of the West.

I hope you enjoy these pictures as much as I have enjoyed watching John make this incrediable rig and outfit for me.

That a very handsome pattern it reminds me of miss Ima's she called hers "tin roof"

I was thinkin the same thing as Nellie though..."goodness but that is a few bullets you got there..."

Well since you got 'em and must know, can someone explain to me what "lined" means with leather? Cause you know I am thinkin' muslin flatlinging dresses and somehow I doubt that is it...??

Greeneyed (that there is some right fine work you have had done kid right fine indeed!) Gypsy

Lining in leather, means that the rough out on leather is covered so all faces are smooth. less wear and tear on the guns and clothes.

Gypsey, Its actually two pieces of leather sewn together, rough sides together. It also gives the belt or holsters strength and durability.

Also gives the holsters "body"...just like flat lining our bodices!

Wow... Kid that is a nice set up!.. I love it...That will last a lifetime and many more to come....You will look smashing in it... And i do wonder about all the extra ammo you can carry, but it does beat the loading block.

I often mention to my husband, that if anything were to happen to me, he wasnt allowed ot sell my gun rig, i want in years to come my grandchildren and great children to see and hopefully still be able to experience this wonderful sport and perhaps have my gun rig to wear..

Q? what type of spur straps are they called, i like those ones that are thick across the bridge of your foot.?
