My shotgun's name is Nancy,
and though loves too strong a word,
it can be said without a doubt,
her voice sings like a bird-

well a ptyerodactyl!

I've upped the load so if you've seen my prior smoke, ti should increase in volume and density by at least 50%

for you who know tese things the current load is 72 grains of FFFg and one ounce of shot-smoke should hang for approximately three to five days after te shoot ends!

Fine, I love my shotgun-but in a platonic way.

Mark,
Heres my 2 cents worth.

I think that I shall never see,
A shotgun lovely as a tree,
The Bells are prettier by far,
My double is not up to par.

Chihuahua Floyd’s Kid is too,
Remember that, I thought of You.
Alley Cats rank over the trees,
Fair nuff to bring men to their knees.

So now I’ve taken pen in hand,
And complimented Bells across the land.
But to avoid any strife,
The best looking one is still, my Wife.

OK, the Kid likes it.

Chihuahua Floyd, its always appreciated by the wife. Its not so much what you write as the sentiment behind it. I've written a lot of poems to my wife as well, most are second rate (at least in my opinion) but it never fails to, well, shall we say... get the point across. I'm not a hugging person, but I do like to express myself in words. Its an "Awwwww...that's sweet" kind of moment! Love that twinkle in her eyes!

My shotgun tho? Never thought about a poem about it. Give me some time, I'll come up with something...

East or west,
Two bores are best.

Maybe it’s the 1897, or the side by side,
Both have hammers, both will do fine.
For faster action more practice will be required,
One of these days I will get the time.

Love of shotgun is unusual for sure,
Guns in general is more fitting allure,
Shotshell, primer, powder, shot and smoke,
Metal and wood seems more like a joke.

Shotguns, Rifles, and Pistols are toys,
Just a few tools of the trade for us Ol’ boys.
But give me a Southern Belle, a Lady of choice,
I will gladly divert my heart to a lovely voice.

Now I know there are more than a few,
Beautiful ladies for sure but not any will do,
It’s like that perfect gun, shape and fit,
If I find her, the hold will be in the grip.

The talk of dresses, corsets and jacquard,
Is some times puzzling and even hard,
But I tune in each and everyday,
Just to hear what the ladies have to say.

So now I told you how I feel,
With not much fanfare or zeal,
But the sweet swell of Honeysuckle in the room,
Will turn my attention from guns to the Belle Alley Forum.

Shotgun's name is Nancy for a reason- When I am done shooting, it gets thrown on the prop without regard for damage. I never met a Nancy I gave a hoot about.

Look forward to skoking up the range together
