1 lb. Ground Beef
1 can (16 oz) Refried Beans
2 teasp. Dried Oregano
1 teasp. Ground Cumin
3/4 teasp. Garlic Powder
12 (this will vary) Uncooked Lasagna Noodles
2 1/2 Cups Water
2 1/2 Cups Picante Sauce
2 Cups (16 oz.) Sour Cream (You may use low fat, but I don't recommend the no fat)
3/4 Cup Finely sliced Green Onions (scallions)
1 Can (2.2 oz) Sliced Black Olives, drained
1 Cup (4 oz.) Shredded Monterey Jack Cheese (Salsa Jack is good too!!)
Combine uncooked beef, beans, oregano, cumin, and garlic powder. Place four of the uncooked lasagna noodles in the bottom of a 13"x9"x2" lightly oiled baking pan. Spread half the beef mixture over the noodles (this is a little trick with the noodles moving around). Top with four more noodles and the remaining beef mixture. Cover with remaining noodles. Combine water and picante sauce. Pour over all. Cover tightly with foil; bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours or until noodles are tender.
Combine sour cream, onions, and olives. Spoon over casserole; top with cheese. Bake, uncovered, until cheese is melted, about 5 minutes. (I usually just turn off the oven and the heat melts the cheese just fine).
Yields 12 servings (not in my house!!!)
Use spices to your own preferences. I usually use more than what is called for. Also don't worry if it looks like too much liquid. The noodles will soak it up.

My family loves this recipe.... it's the only thing I cook! HA! But it is easy and delicious.
