My club usually has 45-60 shooters when there is good weather....30 when it's bad weather (i.e. Over 110 degrees!!:sk )

I went down to Phoenix to the Arizona Cowboy Shooting Association monthly shoot yesterday at the range where they shoot Winter Range and they had 160 shooters!!! 8 posses and we shot 8 stages! I was very impressed!

Sand Creek Raiders average is around 120 shooters. We've been as low as 83 and as high as 163, all depends upon the weather.

Howdy Folks,
I consider it a privilage to post on this site. We normally have 50-60 shooters each month. I wasn't there at the last shoot and 70+ shooters attended. I was quail hunting.
No, I don't prefer qh with playing cowboy, they just clashed last month.

For perspective.... Australian Nationals had some 220 attendees...

Other "big" matches sometimes get over 100...

I shot yesterday with 8 others ;)

...and next sunday with maybe 30...

I went to a small club shoot yesterday with the constable and ricochet in Cowra (2hr drive away) shot with the Billy Goat Hill gang. There were 12 of us, we had a good time and lots of shooting...

Our small club here in Canberra, we will get about 15-20 at our monthly one..It dont matter to us, we shoot just about every weekend...

It depends on where we shoot....at our home club in Lenoir, where the Bust Out will be, we have between 60-80. It is such a great club. At Walnut Grove, the club Ross Rutherford runs we have between 20-40, at Palmetto Posse in Columbia we have between 25-50. It depends on the weather mostly.

As I read through this thread, I was gathering an average in my head without pulling out the past score sheets. To my surprise, I don't have to bother. Miss Fannie has me covered. :kiss :ty

It doesnt really matter about the quantity of the shooters attending. The fun is more the quality of the great people that DO come and shoot, whether it be 10 or 100.

HERE! Here! I'll toast to that. That's what cowboy shooting is all about. Quality- not necessarily quantity!

Rain or shine, about 30. Sounds small, but it's triple what we started with in 91 when we started this club. Plus, we have a fair amount of military members and they come and go pretty quick. Used to be every 2 years or so. Now it seems like every couple months we lose a few. If we could keep these guys we'd be up around 50/60 shooters, but they gotta go when they gotta go.

GG, I've been to a "Hawaiian Cowboy" match...granted it was in Florida in August...sure was hot. Bustles are a bit too warm for that kind of weather. But, being the costume obsessed Belle that I am, I had to make sure I had a great Hawaiian Cowgirl outfit!! What do you think? Those coconuts and grass skirt are from an authentic hula store in Honolulu.

Would it be "politically correct" to wear a grass skirt with a bussle ?

(honest question..... sorry for tha "pc" werds :sorry)

We belong to two pistol clubs in Nelson. The bigger club has a cowboy section, we're called the Golden Downs Rangers. Our monthly matches see about 10, I think there are 12 of us altogether! The other club Trinity and myself are the only two cowboys! The smaller club is closer to home and we just go there to practise now and then.
